Praise God for moments like these

With the holiday season quickly approaching
People are rejoicing
People are praising
People are giving

Where there is nothing
There is hope

Where there is something
There is giving

An older woman came into my store
She had little cash
She had a tough past
Her brother past away a week before that

All she really wanted was milk and purple grapes
She decide to get a cake mix
To share with her friends

I looked at her counting change
I couldn’t help but see a woman in need

Another woman came by
Both of them began to talk
I thought they were friends


These woman went back and fourth between the register and aisles
I couldn’t help but wonder what was going on

They came back for the 3rd time
The woman had her milk and grapes in one hand
And change in the other

The other woman offered to pay
The woman in need was surprised with praise
As tears started to form
I witnessed an astonishing site

The woman I thought was a friend
Turned out to be a complete stranger to her

As this happened right before my very eyes
I couldn’t help but cry
This is what the holidays are all about
And I was seeing it before my very eyes

In times like these
It’s tough to see blessings like these passing our way

This is what the holidays are all about
This is what God is all about

Love your neighbor
Love your self
Praise God for moments like these
